When Swami Said Yes

Following my recent visit to see Swami with Krithin where I had received his blessings and some unexpected life direction, things began to unfold.
Krithin had told our mutual friend T about Swami.
I had mentioned him to her a few times as well. She’d been curious, but unsure.
She asked Krithin, “Is he the real deal?” trying to work out if she should go and meet him herself.
Krithin told her, “Yes. He’s kind.” That was enough for her.
One evening, T and I had dinner together. She said she wanted to visit Swami but she wanted to go with me. I suggested that if she had any questions, it might be good to ask Krithin to come along too. He could translate, if needed. She agreed.
We organised the trip for the following week. We booked a car and went together.
When we arrived, Swami was about an hour and a half late. But with him, that’s normal. He likes to play games sometimes. It’s all part of the Lila, the divine illusion.
Eventually, he came out and sat down. We waited, letting everyone else go before us. Most visitors came for a blessing, asked a question, received an answer, and left. But we were staying for a while.
When it was our turn, Swami saw us and gave each of us his blessing.
T asked her questions mostly about her work. What she should do.
Swami told her to continue what she was doing.
He said she wouldn’t earn a lot of money, but she would receive blessings through the work.
She accepted that. Quietly. With grace.
I sat nearby for a while, then got up and walked over. Krithin followed.
I said to him,
“Can you ask Swami for his blessing? I feel a pull to do films. Documentaries.”
He translated.
Swami said,
"Yes. Do it but only on spirituality.”
I accepted it.
Then I asked,
“Can I do my first documentary on you?”
Krithin translated again — and in the same breath, he asked Swami if I could interview him.
To our surprise, Swami agreed.
Yes, you can do a documentary. And yes, you can interview me.”
I was shocked. Humbled.
I got down and bowed fully on the ground. Krithin, just as moved, bowed beside me.
“Thank you, Swami,” I said. He smiled.
I walked back over to T.
She was happy for me. Smiling. It felt like something sacred had just been set in motion.
We all left and headed back to Tiru.
In the car, we were eating sweet limes that Swami had given us as Prasad. Laughing. Talking.
At one point, I turned around and said to them,
“Who would’ve thought? A girl from Israel, a guy from India, and a Greek Australian Hindu all coming back from seeing a mystical Swami together.”
We all laughed in amazement at the beautiful mystery of life.
T said she’d like to go back one day.
Krithin said he would too.
He’d also agreed to help me with the film.
