It was early days on my journey, and I’d walked past a room with a poster on the door for a meditation and yoga class. I only passed it once, but something about it stayed with me. I decided I’d give it a try later in the week.

I went in, joined the session and followed along for most of it. After a while, I just stopped. I laid down, closed my eyes, and let myself drift.

Suddenly, I was somewhere else entirely.

I was in Africa, inside a small reed hut. My skin was dark. I was sitting down, and I was young maybe a child or teenager. Next to me was a woman and I instinctively felt she was my mother. I couldn’t believe it. The clarity of it all. And then just like that I woke up.

Wow.

It felt so real. That was my first past life experience.

The second came a little later, during a quiet meditation at home.

I was sitting still when I suddenly saw the moon in the sky. Then I was looking down at cobblestones old, weathered. It felt like 1800s London.

I looked up and saw some double-storey buildings, lights glowing softly from the windows.

It was evening.

Then I opened my eyes.

I didn’t have any sense of who I was in that moment, but the feeling stayed with me.

Another window into something deeper, something beyond this life.
